Indications:
Opticin is an antibiotic eye drop used to treat bacterial infections of the eye such as conjunctivitis, keratitis, and corneal ulcers.
How It Works:
Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that stops bacterial growth by inhibiting DNA replication.
Directions for Use:
For conjunctivitis: Apply 1–2 drops in the affected eye every 2 hours for the first two days, then reduce to every 4 hours.
For corneal ulcers: Use more frequent dosing as directed by your doctor.
Precautions:
For ophthalmic use only
Do not use if allergic to ciprofloxacin
Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface
Remove contact lenses before use and wait 15 minutes before reinserting
Store at room temperature
Keep out of reach of children
Side Effects:
Mild stinging or burning
Temporary blurred vision
Eye redness or irritation
