Active Ingredients:
Dorzolamide Hydrochloride 2%
Timolol Maleate 0.5%
Indications:
COSOPT is used to reduce elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, especially when treatment with a beta-blocker alone is not sufficient.
How It Works:
Dorzolamide reduces the production of fluid in the eye by inhibiting carbonic anhydrase.
Timolol is a beta-blocker that also reduces fluid production in the eye.
Together, they help lower eye pressure effectively.
Dosage and Usage:
Instill one drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily.
If using other eye drops, wait at least 10 minutes before applying them.
Precautions:
Not suitable for people with asthma, certain heart conditions, or severe breathing problems.
Remove contact lenses before use and wait 15 minutes before reinserting them.
Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface.
Store at room temperature, away from light and moisture.
