Active Ingredient: Ketotifen Fumarate 1 mg/5 ml
Therapeutic Class: Antihistamine – Mast Cell Stabilizer
Indications: Asmafort is used for the prophylactic treatment of bronchial asthma and to relieve allergic conditions such as rhinitis and conjunctivitis. It helps reduce the frequency and severity of asthma attacks, especially in children.
Mechanism of Action: Ketotifen has dual action – it acts as an H1 receptor antagonist and stabilizes mast cells, preventing the release of histamine and other inflammatory mediators involved in allergic responses.
Dosage and Administration:

• Children aged 6 months to 3 years: 2.5 ml twice daily

• Children over 3 years: 5 ml twice daily
  Doses should be taken with meals and adjusted by a physician if necessary.
