Omeprazole
A proton pump inhibitor that acts by reducing the gastric acid. It is specifically inhibiting the acid pumps in the parietal cells within the stomach.
Indications:
• Acid-related dyspepsia.
• GERD/ Reflux esophagitis.
• Gastric and duodenal ulcers.
• Gastric acid reduction during general anesthesia.
Points of interest:
• Patients must Swallow as a whole, do not crush or chew.
• Patients must tell doctor if they develop black stool or dark vomit.
How to use:
1 capsule daily in the mornin or as recommended by the doctor
